About the Author
Tanisha Bagley is an author, public speaker, entrepreneur and advocate for victims and survivors of domestic violence, rape and sexual assault. She is also the founder of E.N.S.H.R.I.N.E (Everyone Needs Support, Help, Respect, Inspiration, Nourishment and Empowerment), an organization that provides safe housing, financial support, job training, mentoring and counselling for women and children who have been victimized by domestic abuse and violence. Tanisha’s personal testimony (as a survivor of domestic violence, rape and sexual assault) has inspired audiences across the country. Her real life story of tragedy and triumph is featured in a documentary entitled, “Something So Beautiful”- available from Interact, a safety support and awareness agency for individuals impacted by domestic violence.
Tanisha’s works include training over seven hundred Raleigh, NC. Police Officers, The North Carolina Department of Corrections, Federal Domestic Violence Conferences, Expos, Vigils, Panels, Middle and High Schools, Universities, Churches, and Book Clubs. Her most rewarding work outside of educating youth on violence prevention is rehabilitating inmates of The S.O.A.R. (Sexual Offenders Accountability and Responsibility) Program and The S.T.O.P and Change Direction Domestic Violence Education and Treatment Program.
Tanisha has been featured in numerous Newspapers, T.V. Programs; Radio Stations including The Syndicated Russ Parr Morning Show, Tom Joyner Morning Shows’ Stop the Violence Promotion, The Rev. Al Sharpton Show, featured in PINK Magazine, an invited audience guest at The Oprah Winfrey Show, and a featured guest on The Montel Williams Show. She was one of two Self-Published Authors chosen at the Raleigh, NC. Barnes & Noble Booksellers to do a Book Signing and went on to be the first at a Richmond, Va location. She has recently taken on the role of a T.V. Talk Show Host of “Real Love with Tanisha and Broderick”.
Tanisha is also a member of SOAR “Sisters Overcoming Abusive Relationships” Speakers Bureau, current Board Member of Womenade of Apex SOS Sister’s of Servanthood which provide financial aide and other means of support to individual women or charity organizations that support women who are in crisis, disability, or any other form of disadvantage, and sat on both The Media Advisory Board with The North Carolina Coalition Against Domestic Violence and The North Carolina Association of County Directors Social Services Oversight Committee.
Tanisha is a mother of three and currently resides in Apex, NC. She enjoys spending time with her children, enjoying nature, and watching her favorite horror movies.
